Heritage Lincolnshire is proud to organise the South Lincolnshire Walking Festival.
Heritage Lincolnshire is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Its charitable objectives are to advance the education of the public in all matters relating to Lincolnshire’s rich and diverse heritage and to preserve and investigate that heritage for the benefit of local people and visitors to the County.
It has a dedicated team of skilled and experienced staff who meet its objectives through delivering community heritage projects, carrying out archaeological fieldwork and research, operating a Buildings Preservation Trust, providing archaeological advice, managing sites and monuments, running an events programme including coordinating the annual Heritage Open Days and the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival, delivering continuing education courses, and producing academic and popular publications.
Its overall vision is to ensure that the special character and significance of Lincolnshire’s heritage is understood, valued, conserved and celebrated for the benefit of local people, visitors and future generations.
