This years festival aims to be the best yet and we are thrilled to feature 59 walks ranging from 1 to 11 miles as part of our 5th South Lincolnshire Walking Festival. There are walks for all ages and abilities, so why not get outdoors with us throughout September and October?
On this website you’ll find information about where to grab a brochure, the launch day at Grantham House, a full list of all the walks featured in this years festival and where you can leave feedback for your chance to win a great prize! The health walks are a really good way to start getting active again. Or do you fancy a bit more of a challenge? There are some beautiful longer walks on offer this year, alongside some family friendly walks and activities. Plus our dog friendly walks will ensure that those pups can have a good old run around and tire themselves out.
The festival features walks led across four districts in Lincolnshire: North Kesteven, South Kesteven, Boston Borough and South Holland where there are so many walks and activities for you to explore. There is a very special announcement ahead of this years festival; find out more below…..
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: The South Lincolnshire Walking Festival is extremely excited to announce that this years launch day will be held at one of Lincolnshire’s hidden gems, Grantham House. This National Trust Property has never been open to the public before and will be showcasing Exclusive Guided Tours of the House and the Gardens. There’s lots to see and do on Launch day, refreshments and toilet facilities are available as well as stalls from our partners. The Gardens are a beautiful place to relax or take a wander in and there’s even a treasure hunt to explore! Two guided walks, between 4 and 6 miles, are scheduled on the day for walkers to enjoy, so make sure you get yourself down to Grantham House on Saturday the 28th of September!
Parking? Grantham has a number or public car parks, the closest to Grantham House being Watergate (NG31 6NS), Castlegate (NG31 6SN), Conduit Lane (NG31 6PB) and Welham Street (NG31 6QU).
